Nursery celebrated the end of the week by having a shoe day. Each child brought their favourite pair of shoes or slippers to school on Friday. We spent the day doing puppet shows, showing and talking about our favourite pairs of shoes or slippers, doing shoe printing and drawings and taking part in fun movement and dance activities. We had a special visit from our Headteacher, Mr Campbell, who showed and talked to us about his favourite pair of shoes. The children have really enjoyed reading and doing work related to the story ‘Knock Knock Who’s There’. We have found it very interesting looking at various types of shoes, the patterns on the soles of shoes and the different sizes, textures and materials shoes are made from.
