This week in Year 1 during our maths lessons we have been exploring length. We used non-standard units, such as paperclips, pipe cleaners and lollysticks to measure objects around the classroom. We had lots of fun exploring the length of the objects and comparing them. We also discovered it was important to make sure we started from a starting point at the edge of the object and used units that were all the same size.
