Autumn is upon us, the leaves are changing colour and the weather is getting chilly! In year 5 we have been learning about one of the most important things that happens this time of year in the UK – Harvest. We have learnt how our food is collected by machine and by hand. The children had some hands on experience with one of the most celebrated Harvest Festival foods – pumpkins! We will be presenting all we have learned over the the next few weeks with a Harvest Festival Celebration Presentation to year 5 parents. To show our thanks and appreciation for all we have, we will be asking the children to bring in items to donate to a local foodbank.
