Full steam ahead for year five in maths! We have been exploring place value and comparing the values of different numbers. To advance our comparison skills, we played “The greatest number game”? In turns, children rolled a five digit number and placed each digit on the place value chart. As a team, we decided which number was greatest and ordered the numbers accordingly. It was an awesome game and really helped us understand the value of each digit in a number. Below are some pictures of mathematicians our year five at work.
