We have had lots of firework activities for the children to do this week. We shared our experiences and talked about the fireworks we saw and heard at the weekend. We generated describing words and pretended to be fireworks by whooshing, popping and crackling! We loved making firework art too with paint, toilet rolls, black paper and glitter. Outdoors, we used the ribbons to create some fantastic firework dances, making weaving paths around each other.

We have also been celebrating the Hindu festival of Diwali.  We found out about how the festival originated and how it is celebrated.  We made our own Diva lamps using clay and we designed Rangoli patterns on paper by using shapes.
