Year 5 children had a fun-filled day when they visited the Barbican Theatre on Tuesday 3rd May. They saw the BBC Symphony Orchestra perform ‘Ten Pieces‘ of classical music. These included classics such as ‘Ride of the Valkyries’, as well as ‘Toccata’ and ‘Fugue’. The children also had opportunity to explore the various sights the Barbican Theatre had to offer and learnt a bit of London history along the way. The trip was thoroughly enjoyed by all those who attended and some children are very keen to learn more about classical music. Go year 5!
