We are very fortunate at Monteagle to have such a diverse range of students, parents and staff. We love to celebrate our cultures and teach others about them. On the last day of term, Christian and Muslim children from year 5 dressed in traditional clothing and visited classes across the school. They each spoke about the religious celebrations of Easter and Eid that were to take place over the school break. They then presented each teacher with a creme egg, which is traditional to give at Easter, and a date, which is traditionally eaten when fast is broken during Ramadan and Eid. The children bravely stood up at the front of each class to deliver their speeches and loved sharing information about their religions.
