This week, the children have been creative in their learning using artistic activities. They have been painting, colouring and decorating in a number of different ways to be extremely creative. Let’s take a look at what the children did in class this week:

In one class, the children were engaged in an art lesson, where they used pastels to draw around their own hands and drew their own pictures. They worked in groups of 4 on a large piece of paper on the table. They really enjoyed completing this task and being creative with their patterns and colours.

During their P.E lessons this week, many classes were being creative on the climbing frame. They were trying to find different ways to climb to the top, or as high as they could venture, using their body to grab, weave and twist through the apparatus. Most of the children seemed to love climbing up on the climbing frames, some competing against each other to be the best climbers.

For one child, during her morning sessions, a large bear cut-out had to be covered in brown paper to create a lovely collage for their wall display. She was creating a collage of Daddy Bear from the book, ‘Goldilocks’ that she is currently reading with her teacher. As you can see from the pictures below, she was really enjoying being creative in this way and was so focussed throughout the task.
