On Monday this week Year 2 had a French experience day. The children visited a ‘fancy cafe’ just like the character Claude from our book ‘Claude in the city’. During the morning we learnt some French phrases to help us when ordering food in the cafe. After that the children were able to use their new vocabulary to create their own cafe menus and design fruit cocktails. Just before our visit to the cafe we made the baguettes and cocktails that would be served in the cafe.
All the children had a great morning and were full of excitement when talking about their experience. Here are some photos of the children enjoying their visit to the fancy cafe.
