This week, Monteagle held our Christmas Bonanza!

There were so many things to do throughout the day, such as; riding on the Christmas train, seeing two of Santa’s reindeers, as well as stalls and games for the children to spend their tokens. There was also a snow globe where the children could climb in and have pictures taken in snow.

It was well organised and fantastic day for the children to experience. Some were not too keen on the reindeers, but stood further away and looked at them from a safe distance. They particularly liked the train! It drove around the playground, and past the reindeer and back to the starting point. It was wonderful to see the smiles and excitement shown by the children whilst riding around, and almost every child who had permission did get on and have a ride. This was fantastic to see and it was a lovely experience.

When in the hall, there were stalls all around. Some stalls were free for children to come in and play with, such as’ playdoh, slime and slushy snow with little toys inside that the children could search for and keep. There were also stalls that the children could use for their tokens, which included; football penalty shootouts, decorating biscuits & snacks and guess the number of sweets in a jar.

There were so many sensory activities for our children to participate in, and it was very thoughtful for those organising the day to create these areas for our children.

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone involved to set up the day, from the office manager and staff, to the parents who dedicated their time every day to plan and prepare all these activities.

We also want to say thank you to all our parents and children. It has been a long term, with many changes throughout the ARP, but you have all been supportive in this, and taken well to the changes. You have all been amazing, and all of us here in the ARP wish you a Merry Christmas, a wonderful end to 2023,  and a Happy New Year!

See you all in 2024!
