Six lucky year 3 & 4 children were chosen by their teachers to attend an Able Writers’ course this week, at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Dagenham. We spent the day with the amazing author, poet and hip-hop artist, Karl Nova. Karl is a talented and inspirational person, who had us all fully engaged with his stories and charisma. The children looked at different forms of poetry and writing tools such as Haiku, rhyming, repetition and alliteration. They then produced some of their own fantastic poems. In addition to this, all six were brilliantly behaved all day and were a credit to Monteagle.
