This week Reception have visited Barleylands Farm to learn about the animals that we would find on the farm, have an experience riding a tractor, cooking pizza from the produce that grows and is harvested at the farm e.g. wheat, which then becomes flour for the pizza base.
We had a fantastic day and the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were a credit to the school.
Below are some comments from the children about their trip:
Luwauslay: “I liked cooking pizza. I stroked the animals and fed the horse and sheep”
Channel: “I saw a horse and a cow. We made pizza, it was yummy!!”
Alexia: “When we went to the farm I made a pizza. I saw a chicken but they didn’t lay any eggs when we were there”
Muhammad: ” I saw a baby goat, it was a Kid. It was a small goat, it had two ears and he was brown”
