It was great to be back this week and seeing so many of Year 6 back. The only sadness is that there are still children working from home. We want you to know that we miss you all.
Since lock down, we have been posting work online. Now more than ever, it is important that you start getting into routine of doing the work each day and either updating your blog or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. As we have wanted from day one in Year 6, we want you to be prepared for secondary school. So now we know schools will fully open in September, attempting each piece of work to the best of your ability will help when you join Year 7. Instructions how to upload your work to your blog can be found by clicking Creating a blog on purple mash.
To your parents, we want to say a big thank you. Thank you for stepping up to being teacher, social worker, cook as well as being ‘mum’ and ‘dad’. Many of your are still working, either at home or at your place of work. It’s been a tough time and we want to say we admire all you are doing. If your child remains at home until year 7, they would have not been in school for 6 months so now more than ever it is important to ensure your children are in a routine of completing work so that are ready for Year 7.
