We have received some excellent home learning this week, including a wonderful TED talk video from Leo above and Chimaobi’s poem entitled, ‘Mucky, Yucky Dump!’. Maybe next week we will share your home learning on here so keep sending your very best work to your teachers! The weather this week is going to be HOT so do remember you can email photos of you and your family too – whether you are helping your family with the gardening or having a picnic, we want to see how you’re getting on! Remember, we are only an email away if we can be of any support at all to you or your parents.
This week in English, we will be finishing ‘One Plastic Bag’ and you will be designing your very own recycled plastic product, creating an advert for it and choosing a climate hero to research and make a non-fiction book about! All very exciting! Don’t forget to keep reading the independent books on bug club and if you run out of books please let your teacher know either by email, purple mash or zoom. We will be checking you are reading regularly!
In maths this week, you will start learning about angles, identify right angles and be doing some problem solving. Don’t forget to login to Timetables Rockstars too!
In your curriculum homework, you will be learning how the earth’s rotation affects day to night as well as the earth’s time zones. You will also discover the influence of music, tv and film and sport on fashion. This new knowledge will allow you to create your very own clothing designs!
Remember all the tasks highlighted in green are to be sent to your teacher so they can give you help for the future.
Keep smiling and take care,
All the best,
The Year 3 team
