The weather this last week has been extremely HOT and we do hope you have been able to enjoy it whilst staying safe, drinking plenty of water and taking some shade. With cooler temperatures forecast this week we hope you are feeling renewed and raring to go with this weeks home learning.
This week in English, we will be doing things ever so slightly differently. Instead of focusing on an entire book, we will instead focus on a short extract from it. For this week, the extract is taken from a story called ‘The Boy at the back of the class’. You will also find power points below for each of the four tasks with Miss Jenkin’s voice talking you through each task. We hope this makes completing your home learning tasks easier and please do give us some feedback on how you find it. Don’t forget to keep reading the independent books on bug club and if you run out of books please let your teacher know either by email, purple mash or zoom. We will be checking you are reading regularly!
In maths this week, you will start learning about time: how to tell the time and convert from hours to minutes. You will also be doing some problem solving. Don’t forget to login to Timetables Rockstars too!
In your curriculum homework, you will be learning about the creation of Earth’s seasons, the influence of artists on fashion, how fashion has become art that you wear and you will get to create your own print design!
Remember all the tasks highlighted in green are to be sent to your teacher so they can give you help for the future.
Keep smiling and take care,
All the best,
The Year 3 team
You can find the home learning tasks starting from Monday June 29th here: 20.06.29 Home learning
