Year 3

The Year 3 team aim to draw out the potential in all children, as we strongly believe that every child can, and should, enjoy success. We do this by following the mastery approach in mathematics; by using the creative approach of the Power of reading to enhance English lessons; and by employing the Guerrilla approach to curriculum planning in our context lessons, which nurtures children’s curiosity. Our first topic, The Big Dig, was a great success. All children got very excited by our exploration of the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods and the outcomes were very impressive. Roll on the Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic periods.
